Food insecurity is a real concern in Whitley County, Indiana, where family nurse practitioner Heather Ward, MSN, FNP-BC, grew up and has practiced for most of her career. Now, as a Doctor of Nursing Practice student, she’s focusing on improving access to nutritious foods in rural areas.
