Traditional Track

A pre-licensure track for those who don't have a bachelor's degree in any field or any prior nursing education.

RN to BSN

An online option for Registered Nurses who want to earn a BSN.

Graduate programs

IU School of Nursing offers a number of MSN and doctoral tracks designed to prepare you for advanced practice nursing, research, education, and leadership.

All graduate programs are available through the IU Indianapolis campus. MSN tracks offer online and hybrid courses with hands-on learning, and doctoral programs are distance-accessible—all to meet nurses' need for flexibility with great peer and faculty interactions.

Master of Science in Nursing (MSN)

Choose from one of nine tracks in our Master of Science in Nursing program to prepare for a career in advanced practice nursing as a Nurse Practitioner, Clinical Nurse Specialist, Nurse Educator, or as a Nurse Leader in Health Systems.

Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)

Develop the skills and competencies required to be a leader in complex clinical practice settings.

PhD in Nursing Science

Indiana’s oldest PhD in Nursing Science program has nationally recognized faculty researchers who will mentor you as you develop your program of research. You can focus on clinical nursing science, health systems, or nursing education.

Certificates

Earn a post-MSN certificate in any of our Nursing Practitioner or Clinical Nurse Specialist tracks to expand your scope of practice. Or earn a Teaching in Nursing Graduate Certificate and hone your skills as an educator in academic or service settings.
