A tradition of faculty and staff governance

Governance is a vibrant and active part of faculty life at the IU School of Nursing and a great way to become immersed in the culture of the school. All three of our campuses offer opportunities to interact with peers on a variety of committees in service of the school’s mission of education, research, and community service. The Staff Council is an active part of staff life at the school across the core and provides opportunities for professional development, leadership, networking, and involvement in school activities.

Faculty Governance

Faculty governance is set forth in the Core Faculty Assembly Constitution and Bylaws. Faculty members are elected to serve on committees to ensure involvement in decision-making regarding faculty policies and academic program policies.

Staff Council

The Staff Council promotes a unified voice in the communication and processes of the IUSON and to meets the needs of staff as they embrace, support, and facilitate activities deemed necessary by Faculty and/or Staff in fulfilling the mission of the IUSON.
