As interim dean of the Indiana University School of Nursing, let me be the first to welcome you. With a tradition dating back to 1914, it is our honor to prepare students for careers as expert clinicians, innovators, scientists, and leaders.
IU School of Nursing is a very special place. I don’t know of any other school ranked by U.S. News & World Report that has centers of excellence in both pedagogy and science. We continue to lead the state in the training and education of nurses, and we are well positioned to help ensure the profession of nursing, in all its forms, thrives as we continue to prepare not only clinicians, but nurse researchers, educators, and leaders.
It truly is a unique time to be studying and practicing in the field of nursing—and an equally rare moment to live through a pandemic. As we work to prepare nurses for the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead, we thank you for being part of our community and your continued support of our school, faculty, staff and students.
