Harm Prevention Partners Program - Jen Remick and Megan Siehl
October 26, 2023
The Harm Prevention Partners Program used both user- and partner-centered design to develop an innovative clinical model. Our model engages teams of students in direct patient care, working to intervene on nurse-sensitive indicators to prevent patient harm events. Students document the care delivered on a smartphone tool that generates an intervention dashboard to visualize impact. Faculty then use the dashboard to guide debriefing and to reflect on student impact on patient outcomes.
Attendees learned how this innovative model was developed and heard how the same principles can be employed to implement the model in their own clinical courses.
