IU School of Nursing at Fort Wayne is ready for you

Welcome to the Indiana University School of Nursing at Fort Wayne, where future IU nurses are turning their passions for helping others and their community into rewarding careers.

Our campus is nestled in the second largest city in the state of Indiana and provides our nursing students with both urban and rural healthcare learning environments through experiences with local healthcare partners or the Lafayette Street Family Clinic. These encounters set our future IU nurses on the path to success no matter where their careers might take them after graduation.

We offer programming that meets you wherever you are in your educational journey: a traditional four-year Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program; an accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing (ABSN) for those who already hold a bachelor’s degree and want to transition into nursing; and an online RN to BSN program for registered nurses who want to earn a BSN. No matter which program fits you best, the curriculum equips you with the knowledge and essential skills needed to enter the nursing field or advance your career in nursing.

Our 40+ full- and part-time faculty are outstanding educators, scholars, clinicians, and world-class leaders in nursing who are known for using innovative learning strategies. They are deeply embedded in our Fort Wayne community, with many continuing to practice in the field. Each of our faculty has a passion for teaching future nurses like you. Although they’ll challenge you throughout your learning experience, our faculty are ready to inspire and mentor you throughout your transformational nursing school journey.

The need for nurses has never been greater in the Fort Wayne area and throughout the United States. Nursing makes up the largest section of the health profession, and more nurses are needed every day to care for our aging population. Because of this, employment opportunities for nurses are projected to grow at a faster rate than all other occupations throughout this decade.

Whether you want to serve your local Fort Wayne community or continue your career elsewhere, there’s never been a better time to join the most trusted health profession, and attending IU School of Nursing at Fort Wayne will ensure that you’re ready to make a difference in the lives of others.
