Preceptors are experienced professionals who help guide the next generation of nurses, nurse leaders, and nurse educators from educational settings into the workplace. We consider community-based preceptors essential to the success of our students, and highly value those willing to step into the role.

Are you interested in helping senior nursing students make a successful transition to professional nursing role?
IUSON’s capstone program strives to offer experiences for students in all inpatient and outpatient areas, ambulatory clinics, nursing support services, community health, occupational health sites, school nurses, and other healthcare areas—anywhere a BSN-prepared nurse can practice.
All first time preceptors receive training specific to the capstone program in either a live face-to-face class or online. Contact hours are given for completing training.
Our Master's of Science in Nursing program is one of the most comprehensive in the United States. Graduates serve in a variety of roles and specialties, and many remain in Indiana after graduation to serve their local communities. Our MSN program prepares the advanced practice registered nurse to provide and improve healthcare across the spectrum.
