Although they could scarcely have known it at the time, twin sisters Emily and Ashley Adair’s journey to become IU nurses began almost the moment they were born. The twins were born two months early and spent the first two months of their lives in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). “Since hearing the story about the nurses in the NICU,” says Emily, “My sister and I have wanted to be nurses. My hope is to someday share a similar story, knowing that I was the nurse that helped make a difference in someone’s life.”
