IMPACT sessions are an opportunity and forum for faculty and staff across all three IU School of Nursing campuses to come together to actualize our mission. It’s an approach built upon principles of strategic planning that are open and collaborative, specifically designed to move us to action and impact. It’s an opportunity for transformation, not just change.
We hosted our first virtual IMPACT session this past May to gather perspectives from faculty and staff about our opportunities and challenges. In that process, we used a JAM Board to gather feedback and asked everyone to respond. Those comments, grouped into high level themes, are our building blocks.
Our first in-person IMPACT session was held at the Garrison Conference Center at Fort Benjamin Harrison where faculty and staff came together from all three campuses. It was an opportunity to build community, meet new people, re-envision our mission statement, and brainstorm how we can address some of Indiana’s most pressing health challenges.
