Biography
Dr. Kent is the Assistant Dean for Graduate Programs at Indiana University School of Nursing. As Clinical Associate Professor, she teaches in the Pediatric Nurse Practitioner MSN track. She has practiced as a Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner in primary care for over 28 years. Her area of scholarship includes curriculum design and evidence-based practice and for topics such as children’s oral health care, health care transition for CYSHCN, atopic dermatitis, health literacy, and interprofessional education. She has published articles and presented on these topics at the local, state, national, and international levels. She was awarded Pediatric Nurse Practitioner of the Year Indiana Chapter of the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners in 2017. Dr. Kent serves as the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners (NAPNAP) representative on the Bright Futures Pediatric Implementation Project National Partners Coalition at the American Academy of Pediatrics.
