Biography

Professor Garza has eight years of experience in health care from being a nursing assistant to a travel nurse. She has traveled to multiple states across the country and has been on various units such as surgical oncology, neurosurgical, medical, rehab, and a locked unit for inmates. Professor Garza joined the IU School of Nursing in January 2025 to start fulfilling her goal of bringing her clinical expertise to teach the future nurses of our world. Professor Garza holds national certification for Medical-Surgical Nursing.
