Biography

Dr. Allen has over 50 years of experience in healthcare advancing from staff nurse, charge nurse, to advanced practice nurse as a Perinatal Clinical Nurse Specialist. Dr. Allen happily joined IU School of Nursing in January 2016 for part two of her career and has taught multiple courses with an emphasis on Leadership, Obstetric Clinicals, and Capstone Clinicals. She is Course Leader for Leadership and oversees all of the Adjunct Leadership Clinical Faculty at multiple hospital partners. She serves on the Admission, Progression, Graduation Committee. Dr. Allen holds national certifications in CNS-BC, as well as RNC-OB.
