Twenty-one nursing students from the IU School of Nursing Bloomington campus Class of 2017 were inducted into the Alpha Chapter of the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing on March 23, 2017, in Indianapolis.
Sigma Theta Tau International (STTI) was founded in 1922 by six students at the IU School of Nursing. Today this prestigious honor society, which is headquartered in Indianapolis, has more than 135,000 active members in over 500 chapters worldwide, including IU’s Alpha Chapter. Its mission is to advance world health and celebrate nursing excellence in scholarship, leadership, and service.
