Biography
Ms. Jackson is a lecturer, clinical instructor, and course leader for H360 Interactive Processes at the Indiana University School of Nursing. She began working with the School of Nursing in August 2019. Ms. Jackson graduated with honors and highest distinction from Indiana University Kokomo in 2008. She received her MSN from the University of Indianapolis in 2015. While at the University of Indianapolis, she was awarded the Beverly Alexander Award for outstanding contributions to the profession of nursing.
Ms. Jackson started her nursing career as a transplant ICU nurse followed by position as a post-liver transplant coordinator. Her previous work experience also includes being the clinical nurse educator for IU Health in the Organ Transplant ICU and the progressive and medical surgical transplant units. Immediately prior to transitioning to the IUSON, she was the clinical nurse educator for all three of the behavioral health units at Methodist Hospital.
Ms. Jackson is honored to be working with nursing students to help guide them into their new profession of nursing. Her passion is for teaching and making connections with students. In 2021, her students nominated her for the DAISY Award for exceptional faculty performance. The DAISY Award is a national award, and it is an honor to be nominated.
