Meet Dr. Jeff Hale
Jeff Hale, Ed.D., MS, BA, currently serves as the team leader for AARP Indiana’s volunteer impact team for Fort Wayne. For the past two years, he has also served on AARP Indiana’s State Legislative Team and Executive Council. Previous to this, Jeff worked in college and university Student Affairs as a student housing director at several institutions ranging from small private colleges to larger public universities.
He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Pastoral Ministries from Fort Wayne Bible College, a Master’s in counseling psychology form the University of Saint Francis, and a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from West Virginia University.
His "why" is to enhance the quality of life for everyone he encounters, from his caretakers to store clerks. He's seen both needs and opportunities while working with college students for many years, so he always looks for ways to build resilience in individuals and communities. He is a firm believer that caring for others is neither art nor science, and there is no such thing as one-size-fits-all when it comes to caring. Caring is rather, consciously choosing to address specific needs with no other agenda than helping, especially when ignoring someone would be much easier.
