What do you enjoy most about teaching?
My favorite part of teaching is observing the growth in students and being a witness to their passion and enthusiasm for their future careers as nurses.
What are you working on currently that you’re excited about?
I am so fortunate to be working on creating high impact experiences for students in the form of study abroad opportunities. I also love helping faculty expand their experiences in global teaching and learning.
What advice do you have for nursing students?
The best thing you can do is to organize your time so that you can balance your studies, self-care, and home life. Try to let go of unnecessary obligations while you are in school to reduce stress.
Where has been your favorite place to travel, and why?
Wow, that is a tough question; I have good memories of nearly every place that I have visited. I would have to say that my favorite is New Zealand because it is so beautiful, like heaven on earth.
Is there anything else you’d like to share?
I value nursing as a career because it offers so much variety and flexibility. In my current role as Director of Global Programs, I enjoy organizing meaningful collaborations, making connections, and supporting others to further their goals and aspirations.
