Associate Dean, Bloomington Campus ( #IU-100591-2023 )

Indiana University School of Nursing (IUSON) is seeking exceptional candidates for the position of Associate Dean, Bloomington campus. The Associate Dean will provide leadership to the School of Nursing at Bloomington: faculty, staff, and students. The Associate Dean will collaborate with leaders across the Indiana University School of Nursing core school and Indiana University Bloomington. The Associate Dean will be central to the advancement of the IUSON’s excellence of the new Regional Academic Health Center (RAHC). The new RAHC reflects the vision of the partnership between Indiana University and Indiana University Health and includes a new hospital, instructional space for health-related programs, and possible expansion of the nursing program.

The Associate Dean is responsible for the operational, teaching and scholarship activities of the core campus. The position involves school of nursing campus specific responsibilities. The Associate Dean is a member of the: Executive Leadership Council, Clinical Community Advisory Board, RN-BSN Consortium Steering Committee, and participates in faculty governance as elected or appointed. This position reports to the Executive Associate Dean for Academic Affairs.

Dr. Doris J. Froebe Endowed Professorship In Nursing ( #IU-100635-2023 )

Est. 2017. The Doris J. Froebe Professorship in Nursing was established by Doris J. Froebe. Dr. Froebe is a graduate of the Indiana University School of Nursing MSN Class of 1961 and retired faculty member. Dr. Froebe held a lifelong interest in nursing administration.

Indiana University School of Nursing (IUSON) is seeking exceptional candidates for the Dr. Doris J. Froebe Endowed Professorship position at the Indiana University School of Nursing, Indianapolis campus (IU Indianapolis). The Froebe Professor will focus on research scholarship related to health system leadership and resulting patient and administrative outcomes, teaching/mentorship of students and faculty (Indianapolis, Bloomington and Fort Wayne) and service at a national and international level.

Responsibilities Include:
1) to have or to develop an independently funded research program of international caliber: Candidates must demonstrate an outstanding scholarly record of research, exhibited by high-impact peer-reviewed publications and a forward-looking, vigorous research agenda that will secure competitive, external funding. The successful candidate will have the ability to work with interdisciplinary teams of interprofessional researchers across clinical and academic settings and possession of interpersonal skills necessary to serve as a mentor and a role model for students and faculty colleagues.

2) to participate in graduate teaching: The successful candidate will have demonstrated expertise to contribute to the teaching mission of the IU School of Nursing. Experience with active learning strategies is desirable.

Emily Holmquist Professorship in Pediatric Oncology Nursing ( #IU-100636-2023 )

Est. 1996. Indiana University School of Nursing established its first endowed professorship in honor of the first dean, Emily Holmquist. This professorship is a joint appointment with Riley Hospital for Children and focuses on pediatric oncology nursing—an area that builds on the existing strengths of the school and its long history of close association with the Riley Hospital.
