During your freshman year, until you've completed your general education courses, you will be a University College student. Academic advisors in University College will provide you with guidance about the courses you need to take to satisfy requirements for the BSN program. Meet with an academic advisor to obtain a program planning sheet. This will ensure that you have the most accurate and up-to-date information about admission requirements.

• Complete the IUPUI International Admissions Application
• Meet the academic qualifications and show proficiency in English and proof of financial support before travel documents are issued. A Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) score of 61 (iBT) or 550 (PBT) and above may be required for those students whose native language is not English.
• The Office of International Affairs is responsible for all travel documents and immigration concerns as well as orientation and activities that assist students in adjusting to life in the United States.

After you have been admitted into IUPUI, you will work with academic advisors in University College who will provide guidance about the courses and tests you need to take to meet the application requirements for the BSN program.

Admission to the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) Traditional track is based on meeting the following criteria:

• Demonstrate English proficiency.
• Earn a 3.0 weighted GPA for the 29-31 credits of required prerequisite coursework that will apply toward the BSN degree.
• Complete the required courses to achieve a minimum grade of C. The most current grade will be used when a course is repeated for Admission.
• Anatomy, physiology, and finite math must have been completed no more than 7 years before time of application.
• Students who have been dismissed from another school of nursing are not eligible for admission.
• Students must have a social security number at the time of admission.
• Students must be at least 18 years of age at the time of admission.

• Required Human Physiology (BIOL-N 217)
• Required Arts and Humanities and/or Cultural Understanding General Education Course and/or MATH-M110 or MATH-M111 (maximum of 2 courses, 1 General Education course is required)

All applicants seeking admission to the BSN program at IUPUI will be ranked together, regardless of the amount of transfer credits they have. Students are ranked based on their weighted admission score.

Students are admitted to the BSN program for a specific semester and are expected to enter the program that semester. Applicants who decline admission, or who are not offered admission, may reapply for a later semester. Students will not be considered for future admission if they have twice declined an offer of admission.
