School moves up 16 spots overall over last year’s rankings and now ranks highest in Indiana
Indiana University School of Nursing (IUSON) has been ranked No. 10 among the 2023 Best Online Master’s in Nursing Programs by U.S. News & World Report.
The School’s Master of Science in Nursing education specialty ranked fourth, moving up five spots over the last year. The Master of Science in Nursing administration/leadership specialty ranked 17th, which remained the same as the previous year.
IUSON also ranks highest overall in Indiana with this year’s Best Online Master’s in Nursing Programs rankings.
“These national rankings reflect our commitment to excellence in teaching and innovative research and our presence as a world-class nursing school that prepares leaders and advanced practice nurses to transform and deliver quality health care,” said Robin Newhouse, dean of the IU School of Nursing. “We recognize that a graduate degree prepares nurses to lead delivery of better health care for patients, families, and communities which is why we focus on the academic and clinical quality and impact of our programs at all levels.”
IUSON – an innovating and pioneering institution in developing and advancing online nursing education – offers both distance-accessible and in-person programs for the Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree with nine tracks to choose from, including five online tracks: nursing education, nursing leadership in health systems, adult-gerontology clinical nurse specialist, pediatric clinical nurse specialist, and psychiatric-mental health nurse practitioner.
IUSON’s MSN program prepares students to lead nursing and healthcare teams in an ever-changing field, encourages the pursuit of innovative approaches to improve health outcomes through intellectual curiosity and scholarly inquiry, and recognizes the value of being a lifelong learner committed to personal professional growth, the development of their profession, and the health of the public.
The rankings – released today – mark the 12th year for the U.S. News & World Report to collect data on online programs.
