Biography
Dr. Kelli S. Roush is a Clinical Assistant Professor for the Indiana University School of Nursing, and she continues to work supplemental at IU Health Saxony Hospital in the medical surgical department. Dr. Roush received her MSN focused in nursing administration in 2012 and her DNP in organization leadership and systems in 2015. She has been a board certified medical-surgical nurse since 2011 and is a member of ANA, ANPD, NLN, and MNRS. She serves on the Alpha Chapter of the Sigma Theta Tau International for the Leadership Succession Planning Committee. Dr. Roush spent 8 years as a medical surgical nurse before moving into education services. In her education role, she oversaw new nurse and patient care assistant onboarding along with student nurse professional development programs. Dr. Roush is a 2022 Early Career Teaching Academy (ECTA) Fellow and is currently enrolled in the Association of College and University Educators (ACUE) Fellowship to continue learning best practice teaching strategies to apply her classroom. She served as a Magnet Program Coordinator and gained insight as an organizational leader and program management. Dr. Roush is passionate about helping nurses’ transition into practice and nurse professional development which most of her scholarship is focused on.
