Biography
Dr. Mueller is coordinator of the Adult Gerontology NP track and is triple-certified as an FNP, PMHNP, and AGPCNP. She is a veteran and served 27 years as a Lieutenant Colonel in the U.S. Army Reserve and was deployed throughout the world. She volunteers at the Veteran’s Center offering counseling and support to troops. She was asked to participate in Operation Welcome Home Allies providing FNP care to Afghan refugees at Camp Atterbury and also was a site manager for COVID testing sites in central Indiana. She has served on various department, school, and university committees throughout her years of academia. Mueller has served as a reviewer for several academic journals and was involved in a large interprofessional geriatric work enhancement grant with students as well as social workers, APRNs, and medicine. She received the Excellence in Geriatric Teaching award from NLN. Dr. Mueller is active in several professional organizations including the American Nurses Association (ANA); the National League of Nursing (NLN); the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP); the National Organization of Nurse Practitioner Faculties (NONPF); the American Association of College of Nursing; Sigma, Alpha chapter; and AACN, NLN, AANP & NONPF, Sigma Theta Tau, Sigma Xi, and other local and regional professional and community organizations.
