Biography
Dr. Jimenez earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) from Loyola University Chicago and holds a Post-Master’s Family Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner graduate certificate from IU School of Nursing. She also completed her Master of Science in Nursing (Family Nurse Practitioner track) at Indiana University South Bend.
As an accomplished clinician, Dr. Jimenez has served as owner and co-founder of Advanced Neuropsychiatric Services of Northwest Indiana, where she provides psychopharmacology management and holistic care. She has also worked as a Family Nurse Practitioner at Dunes Family Clinic, serving underinsured and uninsured patients.
In addition to her clinical roles, Dr. Jimenez has served as a consultant for Loyola New Orleans; adjunct faculty for Purdue Northwest and IU South Bend; and faculty fellow at St. Mary’s College of Notre Dame. She has guest lectured, worked on developing PMHNP curriculums, and mentored and precepted students, demonstrating her passion for nursing education.
Dr. Jimenez is an active member of several professional organizations, including the American Psychiatric Nurses Association and the Coalition of Advanced Practice Nurses of Indiana. She is the owner, co-founder and president of the Psychiatric Mental Health Consortium of Northwest Indiana LLC. She has presented at national conferences and organized numerous health fairs and professional learning events, such as the inaugural NWI Psych Summit 2024.
Fluent in Spanish, Dr. Jimenez enjoys exploring new cultures through travel, having visited countries like Vietnam, Morocco, and Guatemala. In her personal life, she is an avid Cubs and softball fan and enjoys supporting her daughters in travel sports while maintaining close relationships with her family.
