Biography
Marian Gilhooly became a nurse in 2003 after working in the field of international health for 4 years in Washington, D.C. Marian now continues her interest in international issues and healthcare in the classroom, focusing on undergraduate learning in the care of patients in acute care settings. Her passions include innovative, active learning teaching strategies and encouraging practice in clinical judgment in a variety of ways. She also strives to incorporate a global perspective in teaching for all undergraduate students. Marian has more recently become involved in enhancing the School of Nursing’s simulation activities and finds this to be an exciting direction with many possibilities. She also loves to run and talk about nursing and movies.
