Submit official transcripts from all universities outside of the IU system you have previously attended. For coursework completed at Indiana University (any campus), we will have access to your official transcript - you do not need to submit one.
To be considered official, transcripts must be sent directly to the IU School of Nursing by the issuing institution or their agent. We cannot accept transcripts that are marked “Issued to Student.”
Transcripts sent electronically to oesgrads@iupui.edu are preferred. For institutions that will only send transcripts by mail, please send to:
Indiana University School of Nursing Admissions Coordinator
600 Barnhill Drive, NU 112C
Indianapolis, IN 46202-5107
Please DO NOT send transcripts to the IUPUI Graduate School or the IUPUI Office of Undergraduate Admissions–some transcript systems such as the National Student Clearinghouse will try to automatically populate IUPUI Undergraduate Admissions as the addressee when you type in the oesgrads@iupui.edu email address. We will do our best to locate transcripts sent to the IUPUI Graduate School or Undergraduate Admissions, but IUSON cannot guarantee receipt of transcripts sent to other offices. Official transcripts must be received by IUSON by the application deadline in order for your application to be considered by the Admissions Committee.
You do not need to upload unofficial transcripts to the IUPUI Graduate Application. Since the School of Nursing requires official copies of your transcripts, this is an unnecessary step.
Complete and submit an IUPUI graduate application.
Important Tips for Completing the Application:
To locate the track to which you are applying, type “Teaching in Nursing” in the program search bar. Please pay attention to which campus is offering the program you are selecting. Applications submitted to another IU campus cannot be transferred to IUPUI. You can also filter by campus using the Filters button next to the search bar.
You do not need to upload copies of your transcripts to the application in the Academic History section. IUSON requires official transcripts be sent from the issuing institution directly to IUSON.
You do not need to list your Achievements in the Supporting Information section–these should be covered in your resume.
The Program Materials section will include five short essay questions (one to two paragraphs each) in lieu of a personal statement. You may wish to type your responses in Word and then copy and paste them into the application.
Be sure to upload your resume and copy of your nursing license to the application before submitting; only complete applications will be processed.
If you have questions about your application submission, please contact Admissions Coordinator Meghan Goe at rogersmm@iu.edu or 317-274-0003.
